Travel by Public Transport 

Students who want to make their own travel arrangements to/from Oxford may find the following information useful.

Travel via Coach 

National Express, Oxford Tube, CityLink/Oxford Bus Company and MegaBus offer a variety of bus services that connect Oxford to the rest of the UK and its airports. Tickets for most services can be purchased in cash or by card from the driver or pre-booked online.

 

During peak hours, the Oxford Tube and Oxford Bus Company provide frequent, 24-hour coach services from London Victoria to Oxford, with many pick-up points along the way in London and Oxford. National Express coach services from all over the country also serve Oxford.

 

Oxford's most convenient airport is London Heathrow. The Airline service provides frequent coach services to Oxford from London Heathrow (every 30 minutes) and London Gatwick (every 60 minutes).

Travel via Train

Oxford Station and London Paddington, as well as Oxford Parkway and London Marylebone, have frequent direct rail services. Oxford also has convenient train links to the South Coast, Northern England, and the rest of the United Kingdom. Both Oxford stations provide public transportation and taxi options that connect them to the city and suburbs.
